God – John 1:1-2,18.  John 1:18 in the Greek says “only begotten God”.  Although the KJV translated it as “Son”, the Greek word is Theos, meaning “God”.  John 5:18; John 8:58; John 20:28; Rom 9:5 (the NKJV refers to Jesus as the eternally blessed God); 2 Cor 4:4; Phil 2:5-11; Col 1:14-15; 1 Tim 1:11; 1 Tim 3:16; Titus 2:13-14; Heb 1:8 (xref Ps 45:6); 2 Pet 3:12; 1 John 5:20; Rev 11:17; Rev 15:3; Rev 16:14; Rev 19:11-16; John 12:39-41 (xref Isa 6:1-10 John is saying that it was Jesus whom Isaiah saw with his eyes sitting upon the Throne in Heaven); John 17:5 (this verse speaks of Jesus’ eternality and Divinity – Jesus prays that the Father would glorify Him with the same glory they shared before the world began); Ezek 1:26-28 (the Man above the Throne is the likeness of the Glory of God – Ezekiel saw Jesus Christ); 1 Thess 4:13-17 (Verse 14 says, “…even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.”  This verse indirectly declares that “God” is in reference to the Son Jesus in this passage, because in the next few verses, plus numerous other Scriptures throughout the Bible, Jesus is coming back and the dead in Christ will be resurrected and raptured, and the alive will also be caught up to Heaven).
